Best Picnic Places in Nairobi

Last weekend, I found myself busy looking for a picnic spot for a Father's day family lunch. I must say that the search wasn't a walk in the park as there are very few pointers and needless to say, my search did not yield much in time for Father's day but good thing is, this article was borne out of that search. If you every find yourself in a similar situation, I hope this article will come in handy. Enjoy!

1. Paradise Lost

Paradise lost is another expansive picnic gem in Nairobi. It is located away from the city, along Kiambu road and it has numerous attractions including caves, waterfalls, boat riding, camel riding and horse riding. There is also a nature trail that leads you away from the boats and towards the caves and falls. The falls fall from up high so the impact is loud, with a cool breeze gently blowing over the area. There are huge rocks all around where you take photos with the falls and scenery in the background

Why visiting Africa should be top on your bucketlist

If you were not born in Africa and have never visited this beautiful continent (oh yes Africa is not a country people :), below are some amazing facts that should -hopefully- convince you to put it top on your bucketlist....

Things to do Before you Travel

Airfare, airport transfer and travel insurance may be the holy trinity of travel preparation, but nailing down these aspects of your vacation is only the beginning of the trip planning process. If you want to achieve a smooth, headache-free trip, taking care of essential tasks like researching activities at your destination, managing your finances and getting your home in order is vital. Below are essential things to do before your travel.

Best Travel Tips of all Time

  • Obtain as much information as possible about your destination.
  • Take out sufficient travel insurance to cover hospital treatment, medical evacuation and even death. Pre-existing conditions and the risk associated with your destination or the activities you plan to partake in can influence the travel insurance cover you need.
  • Double-check whether you require a visa or permit for the country or countries you are visiting or transiting.
